Long Beach Signs 3 Softball Players

Chanele Chambrone, a catcher at Canyon High School, was one of three area athletes to sign letters of intent to attend Cal State Long Beach next season, 49er softball Coach Pete Manarino announced Wednesday.

Rene Pina, who plays first base for Mission Viejo High, and Heather Illsley, who plays third at Rancho Santiago College, also signed.
