Unser Gets Unfair Rap for Tapping Andretti

While what happened to Mario Andretti and Al Unser Jr. in the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach was unfortunate, it is part of the sport. It is not a case of Unser being a reckless or stupid driver as Mario claimed (April 17).

Unser is an aggressive, skilled driver. He is taking an unjustified beating because of Andretti. His otherwise perfect win will be forever tainted because of the incident.
