Sophomore third baseman Antone Williamson of Torrance leads the South Bay with 33 RBIs after a blistering week. In the last four games, Williamson has eight hits in 11 at-bats (.727) and nine RBIs.

* Morningside outfielder Shannon Thompson batted left-handed last week for the first time this season with impressive results. In three games, he was six for nine with two home runs, four doubles, five runs scored and three RBIs.

* Loyola Marymount catcher Miah Bradbury continued his torrid hitting (.397) last weekend and set a school season record with his 24th double to earn West Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors.

* Serra third baseman Chris Jones has four home runs in the last five games.

* Leuzinger and Mary Star, traditionally among the best softball teams in the South Bay, continued to slide Tuesday. Leuzinger (4-11) committed seven errors in an 8-1 Bay League loss to Rolling Hills. Mary Star (4-13) was drubbed by Miraleste, 8-2, in a Camino Real League game.

* Hawthorne, one game out of first place in the Bay League baseball race two weeks ago, dropped its fifth consecutive game Tuesday against visiting Beverly Hills, 12-7, to fall three games off the pace at 4-5 and 9-11 overall.

* Loyola Marymount’s volleyball team split two Western Intercollegiate Volleyball Assn. matches last week, defeating Cal State Northridge and losing to Stanford, to finish the season 5-17 overall and 4-16 in the WIVA for ninth place in the 11-team league.
