Share

The daughter of Ecclesia Athletic Assn. founder Eldridge Broussard Jr. died of head injuries after she was beaten at a group home in Oregon, a medical examiner testified at the trial of four group members.

Dr. Larry Lewman said during the Clackamas County Circuit Court trial of the four adult members of the Watts-based organization who are charged with first-degree manslaughter in the death of Dayna Broussard, 8, that the girl was the victim of a “homicide from blunt-force head injuries.”

In other testimony, Andrea Brown, a 9-year-old member of the group, testified that defendant Willie Chambers was prepared to strike the girl with tree branches but decided not to after she lost consciousness.
