Police are seeking witnesses to a traffic accident late Monday near Disneyland that left an Australian tourist dead and her husband hospitalized with head injuries.
Lynette Dawn Harris, 48, and Graham N. Harris, 46, were crossing Harbor Boulevard just south of Katella Avenue at 10:30 p.m. when a taxi struck them, said Anaheim Police Sgt. Richard Zschoche.
The taxi driver, Louis Anthony Ciambriello of Santa Ana, 49, was not hurt and no charges have been filed against him, Zschoche said. An investigation, however, is continuing, he added.
Zschoche said it was unclear whether the couple were leaving Disneyland or the Anaheim Convention Center.
The Harrises were taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange where Lynette Harris died, police said. Graham Harris was listed in stable condition.
Anyone who saw the accident is asked to call Anaheim police at (714) 999-1861.
