NEW YORK —
Sunday Silence, aiming to win the Belmont Stakes and the Triple Crown, worked a mile on the Belmont main track this morning in 1:39 3-5 with Jerry Bailey riding.
The Derby and Preakness winner turned in fractions of :25.2, :50 and 1:15:3 along the way, and trainer Charlie Whittingham called the workout “beautiful, perfect.”
