Donny Daniels, Cal State Fullerton assistant basketball coach, has left the program to become an assistant at Utah, a Utah spokesman said Tuesday.
Daniels, 34, has been an assistant at Fullerton for the past three years and also coached at L.A. Harbor College. Daniels, 34, played at Fullerton from 1974-76, under Coach Bobby Dye. He also helped coach the Titans from 1981-83.
At Utah, he will assist Coach Rick Majerus, who replaced Lynn Archibald after last season. Majerus guided Ball State to the National Collegiate Athletic Assn. tournament last season, where the Cardinals lost to Illinois in the second round.
