Driver, 72, Killed in Head-On Collision
A 72-year-old woman was killed when the car she was driving hit a guardrail Tuesday in Seal Beach, swerved and collided head on with two cars on Pacific Coast Highway, police said Wednesday.
The county coroner’s office identified the victim as Margaret A. Ponzini of Huntington Beach.
She was driving southeast in the right lane near Anderson Street in the Surfside district when, according to witnesses, her car drifted into a guardrail and swerved across traffic into the path of the oncoming cars, Seal Beach police said.
Police said one other driver was injured, but further details were not available.
