Share

Vandals firebombed the main entrance of a Jewish synagogue in Tujunga on Friday night, causing about $5,000 worth of damage, Los Angeles police reported.

The vandals also spray-painted anti-Semitic slogans and symbols over a wall and fired several shots through the Jewish star over the door of the Verdugo Hills Hebrew Center, temple administrator Martin Miller said.

Police said they have no suspects.

Verdugo Hills Hebrew Center in the 10200 block of Tujunga Canyon Boulevard is a conservative synagogue with about 100 families. Miller said the temple has not been attacked or defaced before.
