Monterey Park : Air Cleanup to Be Discussed
Officials of the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency will discuss cleanup activities at the Operating Industries Inc. landfill in Monterey Park at a community meeting from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Montebello High School cafeteria, 2100 Cleveland Ave., Montebello.
The EPA will present the latest results of its program to monitor air near the dump for toxic emissions. Representatives of companies that shipped hazardous waste to the dump and are undertaking cleanup work under EPA supervision will answer questions about the project.
