Robby Unser gave his family its 30th Pikes Peak Hill Climb victory since 1959 at the 67th running of the race, covering the 11.25 mile course in an unofficial 10 minutes 48.34 seconds.
Unser beat his Peugeot teammate Ari Vatanen by less than a minute in the open rally division after Vatanen overcorrected on a curve about three kilometers from the finish line, damaging his tire and wheel.
Unser, 21, of 13-time Hill Climb winner Bobby Unser, set a speed record of 120 m.p.h.
