Some Advice for Joyner: Get Back to the Basics
After reading John Weyler’s article recalling Wally Joyner’s tremendous rookie season, I can’t hold this thought any longer: Why doesn’t Joyner employ the Charlie Lau weight-shift style of hitting anymore?
Was it his (tor)mentors (Reggie Jackson, Moose Stubing) that convinced him to change?
Will somebody please show Joyner some videotapes of that effortless swing he had back in 1986!
