Gianfranco Rosi knocked Darrin Van Horn down 30 seconds into the fight, then dealt the 20-year-old fighter from Kentucky his first defeat in 40 professional bouts to win the International Boxing Federation junior-middleweight title with a unanimous 12-round decision at Atlantic City, N.J.
The three judges had Rosi, 31, ahead by margins of 117-109, 118-108 and 116-109.
