TUCSON —
The University of Arizona men’s swimming team has been placed on a yearlong probation without sanctions by the Pacific-10 Conference for NCAA rules violations, a university official said.
The probation stems from violations last year that included use of ineligible athletes, including one under an assumed name, and a loan of money to an athlete by then-Coach Dick Jochums, who resigned in December.
