Duesler Advances in Men’s Hardcourt Tennis
Bob Duesler of Newport Beach defeated Lenny Lindborg of Laguna Niguel, 6-2, 6-4, in the fourth round of the United States Tennis Assn. National Men’s 45 Hardcourt Championships Thursday at Lindborg Racquet Club in Huntington Beach.
Duesler also teamed with Jim Nelson to defeat Bobby Deaton of Fort Worth, Tex., and R.F. Royden of San Diego, 6-3, 6-2, in a third-round doubles match.
In other third-round doubles, Lindborg and Larry Dodge of San Francisco defeated Fred Scott and Ed Alston of Los Angeles, 6-3, 6-2.
