Davie’s Lamb Beats Stablemate to Win Feature at Del Mar
Davie’s Lamb held off a late challenge by her stablemate, 2-1 favorite Maria Jesse, to score a half-length victory in Del Mar’s $55,000 allowance turf feature for older fillies andmares Thursday before a crowd of 11,551.
Robbie Davis, riding here for the first time, was aboard Davie’s Lamb, who won for the first time in four starts this year.
Davie’s Lamb covered the mile in 1:37 and paid $18.80, $6.60 and $3.80. Maria Jesse, with Eddie Delahoussaye aboard, paid $3.80 and $2.60. Raintree Renegade, under Chris McCarron, paid $2.80.
