Cal State Fullerton Notes : Rogers Signs Three-Year Contract
Lynn Rogers, Cal State Fullerton’s women’s gymnastics coach, signed a three-year contract with the Titans, the school announced Monday.
Fullerton finished sixth in the National Collegiate Athletic Assn. last season. Rogers, who will start his 15th season this fall, has a 418-80 record at Fullerton. His teams have finished in the top six in the nation 12 times and won the NCAA championship in 1979.
“This extended contract really means something to me and the program at Cal State Fullerton,” Rogers said. “Not only does it help me in recruiting, but it’s good for the future of the sport and women’s sports in general.”
All members of last year’s Fullerton gymnastics team, including All-American Lisa Bolan, will return.
Chris Mumaw joins the staff of Fullerton trainer Jerry Lloyd.
Mumaw, a graduate of Cal State Fullerton, has worked for Cal Poly Pomona, the Los Angeles Express and a sports medicine office in Riverside.
