Mike Faria Wins Speedway Cycle 4-Lap Main Event

Mike Faria of Riverside won the four-lap scratch main event in the weekly speedway motorcycle racing program in front of 3,120 Friday at the Orange County Fairgrounds
Billy Hamill of Monrovia was second, Steve Lucero of Riverside was third and Phil Collins of Newport Beach was fourth.
In the eight-lap handicap main event, Shawn McConnell of Brea was first, Jim Sisemore of Woodland was second, Brad Oxley of San Clemente was third, Faria was fourth and Bob Hicks was fifth.
In the feature match race, Bobby Schwartz of Costa Mesa defeated Robert Pfetzing of Garden Grove.
