Moorpark 17, Calabasas 8--In a decisive third quarter, Moorpark scored two touchdowns to build a 17-6 lead at Calabasas.

The Musketeers ran 10:15 off the clock on two third-quarter scoring drives. Tony Upshaw, who rushed for 52 yards in 12 carries, scored Moorpark’s first touchdown on a 35-yard run. Jeff Cox followed with an eight-yard touchdown run with 51 seconds left to cap the Moorpark scoring.

Calabasas rallied with its only touchdown on Damon Riggins’ nine-yard run with 8:41 to play. Quarterback Craig Adelman was stopped short of the goal on the conversion attempt.

Riggins, who rushed for a game-high 133 yards in 26 carries, injured his right knee with 4:17 left and was unable to return.

Moorpark quarterback Robert Hernandez completed four of eight passes for 42 yards and rushed for 86 yards in seven carries.
