Santa Ana : Community College Plans ‘Transfer Day’

Share

Rancho Santiago College will hold a California college “Transfer Day” next Tuesday to help students make a smooth transition from community college to a four-year school.

The program will last from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Representatives of University of California and California State University schools will be available to answer questions about their programs and the transferring of community college credits. The representatives will be on the campus mall at 17th and Bristol streets.

Students who have transferred from community colleges are earning more than half of the bachelor’s degrees awarded by schools in the Cal State system, according to Lynne Stedman of the Rancho Santiago College counseling office.
