Roundup : Louisville Overpowers Marymount in Girls’ Tennis, 7-1

Maureen Siffermann and Shellee Gautreau each won two singles matches to lead Louisville High to a 7-1 victory over Marymount in a nonleague opener Tuesday at Rancho Park.

Siffermann defeated Peggy O’Keefe, 6-2, and Dehlia Gaynor, 6-3. Gautreau defeated O’Keefe, 6-0, and Gaynor, 6-1.

In doubles play, Louisville’s Gina Tantardino and Heidi Detamore swept their matches, defeating Bianca Garcia and Jessica Antola, 6-2, and Christine McChesney and Christina Overland, 6-0.

Hart 12, Crescenta Valley 6--Cindy Courtemarsh swept three singles sets and the Indians won seven of nine doubles sets in the nonleague match at Crescenta Valley.

Hart’s doubles team of Barbara Klingler and Jessica Mueller also won three sets as the Indians improved to 2-0. Crescenta Valley is 0-1.

Immaculate Heart 11, Buckley 6--Immaculate Heart swept nine doubles matches to seal the nonleague win at Studio City.

GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL

Burroughs d. Hoover 14-16, 15-11, 15-8, 15-1--Jennifer Wagner had 18 kills to lead Burroughs (3-0) in a nonleague contest.

Simi Valley d. Hart, 15-12, 15-8, 15-9--Dana Delmatoff had eight blocks and Kristin Wissig added seven for Hart in a nonleague match at Simi Valley. Krista Martin led Hart (1-1) with four kills.

Notre Dame d. Marlborough, 5-15, 15-9, 6-15, 15-13, 15-8--Sophomore Shannon Tuttle had 15 assists and 10 blocks for Notre Dame in a nonleague match at Marlborough. Mary Strong and Phylliss Francis each had eight kills for Notre Dame (1-1).

Thousand Oaks d. Agoura, 15-5, 15-10, 16-14--Betsy Moore had four kills and Debbie Bueche added four kills and four blocks for Thousand Oaks in a nonleague match at Agoura. Shauna Campbell had 12 assists for the Lancers in their opener. Agoura is 0-2.

Village Christian d. St. Monica, 15-7, 15-1, 15-0--Danielle Weeks served eight aces and Christina Gumpert had four kills to lead the Crusaders (2-0) in a nonleague match at St. Monica.

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL

Westmont d. Cal Lutheran, 15-3, 15-0, 15-0--Jennifer Larson had seven kills and Brenda Lee had six digs for Cal Lutheran (0-1) in an NAIA District 3 match at Westmont.

COLLEGE SOCCER

Master’s 4, Cal Baptist 1--Eraldo Guimaraes scored three goals--two in the second half--for the Mustangs in an NAIA District 3 match at Cal Baptist. Chris Bingman added the other for Master’s (1-2).
