Au Revoir Les Enfants (Bravo Sunday at 5 p.m.): Louis Malle’s superb, semi-autobiographical account of a boy’s experiences at a boarding school where Jewish youths were shielded during World War II. Subtly devastating, much in the manner of Renoir’s “Rules of the Game.” (1:45)

The Last Temptation of Christ (Cinemax Monday at 11 p.m., again on Thursday at 11:30 p.m.): Martin Scorsese’s film of the Nikos Kazantzakis novel with its controversial vision of tempting the crucified Christ with a chance at a mortal’s life is beautifully realized yet oddly marred by its highly contemporary, even streetwise language. Night Nurse (TMC Tuesday at 8 a.m.): This 1931 William Wellman film is a dated melodrama about a dedicated novice nurse (Barbara Stanwyck) discovering a terrible plot, but it is racy fun. Stanwyck, Joan Blondell and Clark Gable (as a villain) already have the impact of stars here. (1:15)

Gospel According to Vic (Channel 13 Wednesday at noon): An inspired and gentle little Scottish comedy in which Tom Conti and Helen Mirren are irreverent teachers immersed in a campaign for a Scottish saint at a Glasgow Catholic school. (2:00)

Having a Wild Weekend (Cinemax Thursday at 2:30 p.m.): John Boorman’s rarely available, well-regarded 1965 first film, featuring the Dave Clark Five. (1:30)
