THE SIDELINES : N.Y. Rangers Trade Petit for Moller

NEW YORK —
The New York Rangers acquired defenseman Randy Moller from Quebec today in exchange for defenseman Michel Petit.
Moller, a seven-year NHL veteran with the Nordiques, had seven goals and 22 assists last season. Petit, a six-year veteran, had eight goals and 25 assists for the Rangers in 1988-89.
