Stunt Man Benefit to Be Held at Saugus

Saugus Speedway will be the site of the first Reid Rondell Stunt Foundation Charity Event with the running of today’s Stunt Enduro 150.

Kirstie Alley of the television program “Cheers” will play host to the event. Proceeds will benefit the families of stunt persons injured or killed in the line of work. Reid Rondell was a stunt man who was killed on the job.

The event will feature 28 celebrities and stunt persons. Among those expected to participate are James Garner, Richard Dreyfuss, David Hasselhoff, Parker Stevenson and Carlos Palomino.

The program will feature stunt shows, race exhibitions, stunt-group promotion booths, prizes and a celebrity race.

Gates will open at noon and the celebrity race is scheduled for 6 p.m. A Stunt Spectacular, featuring a precision-driving exhibition and several daring stunts involving cars and motorcycles, will take place at 4 p.m.
