Santa Margarita Tops Miraleste for Fourth Victory in Row

Santa Margarita High School won its second consecutive Olympic League game with a 19-0 victory over Miraleste at Saddleback College Friday.
The Eagles, who have four victories in a row, are 4-1 overall and 2-0 in league play.
Santa Margarita quarterback Trevor Yankoff completed 12 of 18 passes for 195 yards and three touchdowns. He had two passes intercepted.
After a scoreless first quarter, Yankoff threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Dan Shearer with 4 minutes 57 seconds left in the first half. Travis Lucero’s kick was off to the right.
With only 40 seconds remaining in the half, Yankoff passed 16 yards to halfback Josh Ireland for another touchdown.
