THE SIDELINES : Colts’ Ezra Johnson Arrested
Indianapolis Colts defensive end Ezra Johnson was arrested today on an alcohol-related charge after his car was clocked at speeds nearing 100 m.p.h., authorities said.
Johnson was arrested at about 2 a.m. on Interstate 465 on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, said Sgt. Tom Goble of the Indiana State Police. Goble said Johnson’s car was clocked at 97 m.p.h. in a 55-m.p.h. zone.
Johnson, 34, refused to take a breath test and was taken to the Marion County Lockup, Goble said. He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear Oct. 19 in Marion Municipal Court.
