Coach Chuck Knox of the Seattle Seahawks...
Coach Chuck Knox of the Seattle Seahawks said running back Curt Warner and two Kansas City Chiefs were injured mysteriously during Sunday’s game at the Kingdome.
Knox said Warner received a puncture wound in his leg and the Kansas City players, whom Knox did not identify, required stitches to close their cuts, one on the leg and one on the arm.
Two other Seahawks had “abrasions that were not typical of playing on artificial surfaces,” Knox said.
Knox said King County workers went over the Kingdome’s AstroTurf field with a metal detector in an effort to find a cause for the mysterious wounds but could not find anything.
