Baseball Names Greenberg as Deputy Commissioner
Stephen Greenberg, the son of Hall of Famer Hank Greenberg and an agent for many major league players, was appointed baseball’s deputy commissioner Wednesday.
Greenberg is currently an attorney with the Los Angeles law firm of Manhatt, Phelps, Rothenberg & Phillips. He will begin his new job Jan. 1, also holding the title of baseball’s chief operating officer.
Greenberg, who played minor league baseball before becoming a lawyer, is a graduate of Yale University.
