Two men competing on opposite bowling teams rolled perfect games in the same series at Tanglewood Lanes.

Tom Rahlf of Merrill, bowling for B & R Bar, rolled his perfect game in the first game of the three-game series Tuesday night, Tanglewood Manager Gordy Rosentreter said. Tom Barden of Wausau, a member of Northwest Petroleum’s team, countered with a 300 score in the third game.

Mark Miller, records editor for the American Bowling Congress in Milwaukee, said opponents rolling perfect games has happened only four other times in bowling history. The same thing happened in California in September, ending an eight-year absence of such a feat, he said.
