Man Arrested in Threat to President
A Glendale man who called the White House and threatened to kill President Bush was in federal custody Thursday night, Glendale police said.
Police arrested the man at his residence in the 600 block of South Adams Street about 8 p.m. after the U.S. Secret Service notified them of the threat, which was traced to the man’s residence, Sgt. Mike Rock said.
The man was taken to the Glendale police station, where he was met by Secret Service agents who took him into custody, Rock said.
It is a felony under federal law to threaten the life of the president.
The man’s identity was withheld. The Secret Service refused to comment on the case.
