Linebacker Mark Tingstad of Arizona State, who suffered a neck injury in the Nov. 4 game at Washington, says he will quit playing football.
“It’s time for me to end it,” Tingstad said. “I’m lucky to walk away from it. There was really no decision to be made. There really is no question in my mind. It’s a signal that I have gone as far as I can go.”
