Five Arrested in Slaying of Oceanside Man
Five people were arrested Thursday in connection with the shooting death of a 26-year-old Oceanside man, Escondido police said.
Belinda Chamberlain, 19, Dan Corbin, 33, and Scott Turcotte, 23, all of Escondido, were being held on suspicion of homicide along with Kenneth Street, 20, of Vista, and Dennis Southern, 32, of Elsinore, police said. Information obtained from the investigation of the death of John Philip Dell--whose body was found Tuesday in the 2500 block of Canyon Crest Drive in Escondido--led to the arrests, police said.
In addition, police said the five suspects were being held in connection with the Nov.19 shooting of Eve Trippler, 25, of Escondido. According to authorities, Trippler was shot Sunday while driving her car along Citrus Avenue in Escondido. Trippler managed to drive herself to Palomar Medical Center, where she was treated and later released.
