COLLEGE BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Bickmore Leads SCC to Title in Tournament

Center Jeff Bickmore scored 26 points to lead Southern California College to a 110-89 victory over the University of Redlands Saturday in the championship game of the Christ College Irvine men’s basketball tournament.
Bickmore made 12 of 17 shots from the field. Guard Rick Witmer added 20 points for SCC. Brett Grebbing led Redlands with 18 points.
In the third-place game:
Christ College Irvine 69, Caltech 49--Albert Gay led a balanced scoring attack with 11 points and had four steals to lead the Eagles (4-7).
In the Oregon State women’s tournament:
Oregon State 63, UC Irvine 24--Irvine didn’t score in the first nine minutes in the championship game. Center Shannon Unfred led Irvine (1-4) with 10 points and had five rebounds.
