Kennedy McKinney, former Olympic boxing gold medalist, faces a hearing Friday after testing positive for cocaine following his last fight.
McKinney could be fined and faces possible revocation of his boxing license when the matter goes before the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
McKinney, in drug rehabilitation in Memphis, Tenn., was not expected to appear but will have representation at the hearing.
McKinney, the bantamweight gold medalist in Seoul last year, tested positive for cocaine after his four-round split decision victory Oct. 31 over Jose Luis Martinez.
The bout was the first for McKinney, 5-0-1 as a pro, since his arrest earlier in the month in connection with an alleged kidnapping incident in Las Vegas.
Charges were never filed against McKinney, who said at the time that he had used drugs but had since stopped.
