Weekend TV : It Must be the Holidays--Bob Hope’s Got Another Christmas Special on Tap

Share

Adash of Bob Hope, a pinch of economics, a sprinkle of architecture garnished with a heaping pile of loud, bawdy comedy make up this weekend’s top television recipe.

Tonight at 10 p.m. (4)(36)(39), Bob Hope hosts his annual Christmas special with guests Barbara Eden, the Judds and Heisman Trophy winner Andre Ware. Taped in Hawaii, “Bob Hope Christmas” will also feature a tribute to the late actor John Wayne.

For the fiscally minded, KCET Channel 28 presents “Louis Rukeyser Looks at the Nineties” tonight at 7 p.m. The host of “Wall $treet Week” will examine the pressing economic issues of the next decade and will interview former baseball commissioner Peter Ueberroth.

Sunday at 8 p.m., Channel 28 presents “H.R.H. Prince Charles: A Personal View of Architecture,” in which the Prince of Wales offers his views on architecture and the current state of England’s urban environment.

Finally, the screaming Sam Kineson stars as Al Bundy’s guardian angel in “Married . . . With Children’s” twisted, hourlong reenactment of “It’s a Wonderful Life.” The show airs at 9 p.m. on Channels 11 and 6, following a preview of Fox’s new animated series, “The Simpsons.”
