HOLLYWOOD PARK : High Weights Assigned to Whittingham Entrants

The Charlie Whittingham-trained entrants Lively One, Ruhlmann and Payant were assigned the three respective high weights for Saturday’s $100,000 Native Diver Handicap to be contested over 1 1/8 miles at Hollywood Park.

Eual G. Wyatt, Hollywood Park’s racing secretary and handicapper, assigned Lively One 122 pounds for the Grade III handicap. Ruhlmann will carry 121 pounds, while Payant was assigned 120 among the 11-horse field.

Lively One, the 4-year-old son of Halo who has banked over $950,000, will be making his first start at Hollywood Park as the current meeting nears its Dec. 24 close. Lively One’s most recent outing was a fourth-place finish behind winning Hawkster in the Oak Tree Invitation at Santa Anita on Oct. 14.

Ruhlmann tuned up for the Native Diver when running fourth behind Olympic Prospect in an allowance sprint on Dec. 3.

Payant hasn’t been out since winning the Del Mar Invitational on Sept. 4.

Weights for the Native Diver: (a) Lively One, 122; (a) Ruhlmann, 121; (a) Payant 120; Happy Toss, 116; Perceive Arrogance, 116; Stylish Winner, 116; Tanker Port, 116; Haut Arandu, 114; He’s A Saros, 114, and Dusty Mag, 108.
