SAN CLEMENTE : Rapist Faces Possible 93-Year Sentence
A 30-year-old man faces a possible 93-year sentence in connection with the torture and rape of a San Clemente woman.
Edward Boyd, of San Clemente, was convicted Tuesday in Orange County Superior Court in Santa Ana of nine counts related to the March 1989 incident. Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 9 in Superior Court.
Boyd held the victim hostage in her own apartment for several hours and forced her to perform sexual acts, police said.
