A security guard at a Target Store in Santa Ana who allegedly entered the cashier’s room and stole 10 bags containing about $12,500 this week was arrested Friday at a hotel in Orange, police said.

Donald Ray Young, 31, of Santa Ana was arrested at 2 a.m. at the Doubleday Inn and booked on suspicion of robbery. Bail was set for $50,000.

Police said they were notified by hotel employees that Young had rented a room. After police arrived and held a short conversation with Young over the telephone, he was arrested without incident.
