San Francisco Giant owner Bob Lurie said that the city of Santa Clara, located about 30 miles south of San Francisco, is his last hope for keeping the baseball team in the Bay Area.

The Santa Clara City Council voted to negotiate with Lurie for a stadium and help put together a proposal for the city council’s consideration. Lurie hopes to put the package on the Santa Clara ballot in November.
