Kovic’s UCI Appearance Relocated
The Feb. 7 UC Irvine appearance by anti-war activist Ron Kovic and Oliver Stone, director of the film on Kovic’s life, “Born on the Fourth of July,” has been moved to the larger Bren Events Center because of an early sellout at the first announced location, the Science Lecture Hall.
The seminar, titled “Vietnam: The Making of ‘Born on the Fourth of July,’ ” is being sponsored by UCI’s Global Peace and Conflict Studies program and will begin at 8 p.m. General admission has been raised to $4 to meet the higher costs of renting the Bren Center, but tickets already purchased for $2 will be honored.
