In other women’s games:

Cal State Northridge 89, UC Riverside 79--Julie Arlotto scored a game-high 21 points and Dawn Broline added 19 for Northridge in the California Collegiate Athletic Assn. game at CSUN.

Arlotto, who scored 12 points in the second half, made eight of 14 field-goal attempts.

Leading, 41-31, at halftime, the Lady Matadors kept the Highlanders at bay in the second half, never allowing them to cut the deficit to less than six points.

Point guard Joan Weinerth scored 17 points and had eight assists for Northridge (7-13, 4-1).

Ventura 69, Pierce 67--Chris Royers scored a game-high 25 points and the Pirates held off a late Pierce surge in a Western State Conference game at Pierce.

Carol Schoenmann paced the Brahmas (8-14, 1-6) with 22 points and four steals. Sarah Dancs and Michelle Ahnsted scored 10 points each for Pierce.

Canyons 75, Oxnard 61--Tressie Millender scored 23 points and had 12 rebounds and Dawn Coleman added 12 points to lead host Canyons (18-5, 6-2) in a WSC game.

Tami Cleaver scored a game-high 27 points for Oxnard (5-16, 0-7). All 10 players scored for Canyons, which went on a 14-2 run midway through the second half to turn the game into a rout.

Cal Baptist 64, The Master’s 43--The Mustangs were unable to overcome a 33-15 halftime deficit and fell at Master’s. Stacy Ford scored 14 points and Sandy Cummings 10 for Master’s (3-24).

Antelope Valley 83, Chaffey 57--Molly Jonnum scored 23 points and Susan Hervey added 21 as the Marauders built on a 10-point halftime lead in a Foothill Conference game at Antelope Valley.

Denise Prince and Belen Oceguera each scored nine points for Antelope Valley (11-10, 6-1).

MEN

Redlands 83, Occidental 77--Despite Chris Anderson’s 32 points and 16 rebounds, the Tigers (6-13, 1-4) fell in a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game at Redlands.

Antelope Valley 88, Chaffey 79--Antelope Valley made eight of nine free throws in the last 4 minutes and outscored Chaffey, 12-2, to win a Foothill Conference game at home.

Paul Ernst scored a game-high 22 points, making six of 10 shots--including two three-point shots--from the field for Antelope Valley (11-12, 4-4).

The Master’s 97, Loma Linda 55--Tom Bruner scored 17 points and Jason Webster added 13 points and 11 rebounds performance for host Master’s (14-12) in a nonleague win. Damon Greer had 11 points and nine assists and Jeff Newton scored 11 points.
