Claimers to Race at Los Al Tonight
J. Paul Reddam and Mary Ann Plano’s Riviera Hanover and Howard Bassman’s Star Kingdom top the field of eight in the $10,000 pacing main event tonight at Los Alamitos.
The featured attraction is a claiming handicap, with the prices ranging from $50,000 to $60,000.
Also on tap tonight is the 1990 “Cameltonian,” the one-quarter-mile match race between a camel and a Standardbred.
First post time tonight will be 7:30 p.m., with early bird wagering being conducted from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
In post position order, the field for the ninth race main event: Central Dancer, Joe Anderson in the race bike; Malvito, Peter Wrenn; Chief Warrior, Gene Vallandingham; Darkan Prince, Steve Desomer; Tigershark, Rick Kuebler; Star Kingdom, Jim Lackey; Ciao Baby, Jim Grundy, and Riviera Hanover, Rick Plano.
