Share

Grossmont’s Christina Adams set two section records by making 21 consecutive free throws in Grossmont’s 81-57 victory over El Cajon Valley Thursday night at Grossmont.

The 21 free throws was the most made in a row in one game, eclipsing the 20 made by Michelle Wilkes of Southwest in 1986. Wilkes’ record had also stood as the most made in a row over more than one game, but Adams made seven consecutively in Tuesday’s 56-54 upset over first-place Santana. She missed her last free throw Thursday and finished with a streak of 28.

The junior guard was 21 of 22 from the line against El Cajon Valley and finished with 31 points. She also pulled down 11 rebounds.
