DIVISION I BOYS

Sweetwater 80, Mira Mesa 55--Mira Mesa hung close in the first half, trailing by just two at the end of one and by eight at halftime, but Sweetwater outscored the Marauders, 23-8, in the third quarter to blow the game open. Scoring heroes for Sweetwater included Carlos Campbell with 30 points, Joe McDowell with 16 and John Gilbert with 13.

Campbell and McDowell also controlled the boards for Sweetwater; each had 15 rebounds.

DIVISION I GIRLS

Santana 73, Vista 56--Rebecca Aase scored 28 points, and Desiree Weimann had 23 to lead Santana (23-4). Alicia Gerken scored 25 points for Vista.

Mt. Carmel 60, Mira Mesa 34--Vicki Dejesus led Mt. Carmel, which started pulling away midway through the first quarter, with 24 points.
