Tony Casillas, nose tackle for the Atlanta Falcons, said he will sit out next season if he is not traded.

Casillas’ contract expired Feb. 1, and he is a restricted free agent--meaning any team that signs him must give the Falcons two first-round draft choices in compensation.

“I don’t want to be here,” he said. “I’m willing to sit out the whole year.” He said there is a “99.8%” chance he will not be in training camp.

The four-year veteran, who was signed out of Oklahoma for $2.35 million, said of player personnel director Ken Herrock: “I just don’t think I fit into his system as to what he thinks a defensive lineman should be. Last year, I read where he said I finally lived up to some of my credentials. I didn’t like hearing that kind of statement.”

He said his agent already has talked with several teams, including the Raiders and Dallas Cowboys.

“I’m a Jimmy Johnson fan,” Casillas said of the Cowboys’ coach. “He was head coach at Oklahoma State when I was being recruited. I don’t think the Cowboys are going to be down for that long.”
