New Mexico State Romps to 68-55 Win Over Pacific
Michael New scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds as No. 24 New Mexico State defeated the University of the Pacific, 68-55, in a Big West Conference basketball game Thursday night.
New Mexico State (24-3, 15-2 in the Big West) pulled away in the second half, going on a 10-0 run to take command, 40-31, with 17:28 to play.
The Aggies build their lead to as many as 13 points in the second half.
Dell Demps had 27 points and nine rebounds for Pacific (14-12, 7-10).
Keith Hill added 11 points and Randy Brown and James Anderson each scored 10 for New Mexico State.
