COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Rancho Santiago Rolls Past Cypress, 12-4

Share

Sophomore Jerry Aschoff allowed four hits and an unearned run in seven innings to help Rancho Santiago College to a 12-4 victory over Cypress Thursday in an Orange Empire Conference baseball game at Cypress.

Cypress’ first run came in the fifth inning and was helped along by an error and wild pitch. Aschoff walked two and had five strikeouts.

“He was definitely the key today,” Rancho Santiago Coach Don Sneddon said. “He did a good job of getting his breaking ball over the plate. That is something he has struggled with in earlier games this season.”
