Derrick Brooks, a redshirt freshman from El Camino Real High, replaced Ken Lynch in the second game Friday and sparked host Cal State Northridge to a 12-15, 15-7, 15-12, 15-9 victory over UC San Diego in a Western Intercollegiate Volleyball Assn. match.
