Charger Linebacker Joe Campbell Is Signed by Raiders

The Raiders signed Plan B free-agent linebacker Joe Campbell of the San Diego Chargers, according to Campbell’s agent, Mike Merkow.

Merkow said Campbell signed two one-year contracts with the Raiders.

Campbell, 6 feet 3 1/2 and 242 pounds, was a fourth-round draft choice from New Mexico State by the Chargers in 1988. As a rookie he had 15 tackles and three sacks but spent six games last season on the inactive list.
