Cudahy : Sheriff’s Captain Promoted and Reassigned Downtown

The captain of the East Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Station, which oversees the city of Cudahy, has been promoted to commander and will be reassigned to sheriff’s headquarters in downtown Los Angeles.
Capt. Lynn E. Poos, who has acted as the “police chief” of Cudahy since December, when city officials voted to switch law enforcement services from the Bell Police Department to the Sheriff’s Department, will leave April 1. He will be replaced by Capt. Ray Sanchez, a 23-year veteran of the Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff’s Lt. Dennis Dahlman, who was in charge of operations at the East L.A. station, also has been promoted and is to be transferred to the central jail April 1. He will be replaced by Lt. Bob Hoffman, a 22-year veteran of the department.
